In my last post, I shared with you my favorite go-to meal on the fly. When I need something quick and easy, I'm always reaching for my taco salad.
And I always have pre-cooked seasoned taco meat in the freezer, portioned out and ready to microwave.
I make my own taco seasoning, because the envelopes you get in the store are high in carbs. They have a lot of fillers in them.
This recipe makes your taco meat taste just the same, just fewer carbs.
So - without further ado...
We usually get our meat in 850 grams, so this recipe will season that much meat.
3 teaspoons of paprika
2 teaspoons onion powder
1 teaspoon pink Himalayan salt
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon oregano
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper (or to taste - I don't like it too hot)
1/8 teaspoon red pepper flakes
sprinkle with fresh or dried cilantro
Enjoy!!
