Weekly Check-Ins

So - in case you found my daily check-ins boring...

so did I.

I mean, you don't know something doesn't really work for you until you try, right?

Reasons why I didn't like the daily check-ins....

1. People visiting my blog only see that, and any other content I may publish like recipes and advice get lost in all of the daily check-ins

2. I am bored writing them.

3. My life is so busy right now, I don't need one more thing.

So, I'll wrap up the first two weeks with this, and then talk about what I'm doing for the month of November.

Week 1 - I crushed it for four days. But I felt awful. Truly awful. I was fatigued, I had brain fog....I am 99% sure it was keto flu....which is horrid, btw.

Also, I was trying so hard for those 10,000 steps - but with the nature of my job that's not easy because it does require me being sedentary much of the time.

Which - okay - we should try to be active. But my tracker was dropping 1,000 - 2,000 steps a day - making it that much harder to meet my goal.

I did order a new one and it should be here soon. But all of the change at once was a bit much - so I lowered my goal to 7,000 for now.

By Thursday, I was snacking -- straying a bit from the plan.

Friday was....not good.

Saturday was....really not good.

Sunday, I got my head back in the game.

Week 2 - I fasted from Sunday afternoon to Tuesday morning.

My goal was to fast through to Thursday morning, but by Tuesday morning I was really not feeling well. I put off breaking my fast for a couple of hours, took some electrolytes and pink salt....drank water....none of it helped.

This is when I knew it was time to break my fast.

It had been 40 hours, so that was a win for me - and I took it and celebrated it!

Tuesday I was careful about what I ate - and really stuck to plan.....and that's been the rest of this week, actually.

I have snacked more than I like - mostly on peanuts. But I'm doing so much better than before.

What's great is that I feel amazing.

I'm going to fast again over Monday and try to stretch it out to Wednesday morning this time.

Weight: I began October 18 at 81.5 kilos and I'm down to 79.5

Being under 80 is big for me, because this has been my floor for a long time. My goal is to now stay under 80.....and my end-of-November goal is below.

November:

My goal for November is to do no-cheat November.

I want 4 solid weeks of strict keto - meaning 20 max carbs. The only thing I will allow is one bowl of air-popped buttered popcorn on Friday nights because it is the one thing I truly enjoy that is off plan.

If I know going in, I can have my popcorn, I believe I will do fine.

Eventually I want to find a great replacement for that, but I've tried a few things and none of them really hit the spot. :)

I will blog here every Saturday evening, sharing about how I did. I'll share screen shots of things and all of that good stuff.

It's been harder getting back on track than I'd hoped....but as long as you keep fighting you're winning!

So I'll take that win.

November weight goal: I would like to be down to 75 kilos by the end of November.
Here's to meeting that goal!
