Egg Fast Day 5 - Getting a bit rough now

I won't lie, today is the final day of the egg fast, and I'm a bit over it.

It has been a legit struggle today to not just call it quits and reach for other foods I love. Meat. Veggies.

But I've stayed strong, and I'm about to make lunch.

So, last night I got 7.5 hours of sleep. Deep, deep sleep.

And I will be honest and say that I stepped on the scale with a bit of trepidation because I had over 1,400 calories yesterday.

I was just hungry.

But the scale both surprised me and proved that it's not as much about calories as it is about macros.

So here we go:

Current weight: 78.2 kilos / 172.4 pounds

Loss: .8 kilos / 1.6 pounds LIKE WHAT??????

Total loss: 3.2 kilos / 7.9 pounds

So, while I'm struggling today on day 5, you bet I'll be doing this egg fast again when needed. It may not be fun the whole time, but the results don't lie.

So here is what I had today.

I tried this Buffalo Omelet - well, revised. I don't have hot sauce, so I ground up some red pepper flakes, and it did the trick. Yep. It was spicy, and I loved it.

Not sure my family loved the scent of melted blue cheese, but it was good!

For lunch, I am making these low-carb cheese enchiladas. Again revised, because I don't have smoked paprika - but I don't like paprika anyhow, so I'm doing this my way.

On the inside of the omelet, I sprinkled garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, salt, pepper, and cumin. I did sprinkle a tad of paprika on the top for the red color -- because it was hard to called it an "enchilada" without anything red!

And BTW, I'm getting to be really good at making an omelet. I used to be quite bad at it, but I'm getting loads of practice with this egg fast.

Did I say I was getting better at making omelets? The pan clearly needed more butter!

I topped off the day with a giant bulletproof coffee to get my fats in.

And that's it!

I'll check back into tomorrow with my final weight and share what I'm doing going forward.
