Today is Sunday. I usually don't eat breakfast on Sunday -- and to be honest, I don't like eating breakfast in general.
I actually feel the best when I stick to one meal a day.
My biggest struggle is that I snack and graze throughout the day - and that not only doesn't keep me feeling the best, it keeps me in a constant stall of up and down in the same 5 pounds.
Which is why I'm doing this egg fast.
It's a reset.
So - first let's get the weight part out of the way.
I weighed in this morning at 80.2 - 176.8, that's down 1.2 kilos or 3.5 lbs.
Now, before you think that this is legit the best diet ever, I knew I'd go down a lot from day 1 to day 2, because I hadn't been in my typical fast and I didn't weigh the same way I normally way.
For that information, you can read yesterday's post here.
How do I feel?
Well, to start, I got 8 hours and 15 minutes of sleep last night. Lately, I've been getting between 5-6, so I felt amazing when I woke up.
And that led me to figure out a way to get between 7-8 hours each night.
It's not that I don't really have that as a habit, it's just that I am not very intentional about it. I always just sort of hope I get to bed at a decent time.
But, for the past two weeks, I've been so fatigued and stressed out - and I know that is in large part due to the fact that I haven't consistently had enough sleep.
Enough about sleep...what about the eggs?
Okay - so today I hardboiled 6 eggs, smashed them up, and made egg salad.
It's not terribly imaginative, and it wasn't the most enjoyable meal either. In fact, I don't forsee me doing that ever again.
Not that I mind egg salad. I don't actually. I rather like it -- with pickles and green olives.
I just don't like 6 eggs worth of it!
So, tomorrow I'm going to get a little more creative with my meal and do something that makes eggs a bit more fun.
I hope.
I put 6 TB of mayo into the eggs, making for my 6 eggs + 6 TB of fat. I added to that 20g of cheddar cheese.
Now, I'm just trying to get in my water to make for a perfect day.
And that's it, guys.
See you tomorrow.
